We recently had a romantic escape at a beautiful cabin. the hosts were absolutely wonderful and made us feel right at home. the location was perfect for us, as it was central to many attractions and destinations. We loved how spacious the cabin was, it was like a tardis! the comfy sofa and bed were a dream to relax on. We also enjoyed the cozy atmosphere created by the wood burner.
One drawback of our stay was the loud road noise from the nearby motorway. It was a little noisy at times and disrupted the peaceful ambiance we were seeking.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, making sure we had a smooth check-in process. The location was convenient, with easy access to various attractions in the area. We also enjoyed the spaciousness of the lodge and the cozy private garden.
There were a few areas in need of attention. And unfortunately, the noise from nearby traffic was quite noticeable and somewhat disruptive, especially during the night.

The hosts were warm and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. The lodge itself was incredibly cozy, with a charming log fire and all the necessary kitchen amenities. It was also conveniently located, allowing me to easily visit attractions in Northumberland and even take a day trip to Edinburgh. As a dog owner, I appreciated the nice outside space for my furry friend. I highly recommend this lodge for a delightful and comfortable stay.

We booked the lodge for my mom's 70th birthday and she absolutely loved it. Love everything about the cozy layout with the very comfy couch and roaring fire. The owners are brilliant, they leave you to it but are always available if you need anything. The location is brilliant, and we can't wait to return in October. The lodge is well equipped and spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bath was huge. The whole place is amazing and accessible from the A1. Dogs are allowed, and our rescue dog loved it. Shaun was very helpful and a pleasure to meet.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic time at Rock Lodge! Our stay was for a week and it was the perfect base for exploring Northumberland. The lodge exceeded our expectations, with spacious rooms and a fully enclosed garden for our dog. We loved the little touches like the biscuits, milk churns, and bottle of wine. Jen and Shaun were exceptional hosts, providing great communication and making us feel welcome. The location was ideal, with Alnwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses, and Lindisfarne Nature Reserve all nearby. We also enjoyed the use of the beautiful woodland and field. Highly recommended!
Would recommend this hotel.

My recent stay at Rock Lodge was exceptional. The location, just off the A1, made it incredibly convenient for exploring other places. I loved the little touches like the milk and doughnuts waiting in the fridge. The owners, Jen and Shaun, were friendly and accommodating, always ready to help without being intrusive. And as a dog-friendly accommodation, my furry friend felt right at home. The private garden with access to the woodland was a great bonus. The lodge itself was cozy and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a spacious, luxurious bath. Even though there were some road works nearby and occasional noise from the A1, I slept like a log. I highly recommend this hidden gem of a lodge for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bath was enormous - I didn't want to leave. Despite being near the A1, the noise didn't bother me and I slept soundly. It was a huge plus that they allowed dogs, and my rescue dog, Sapphie, loved it, especially the doggie treats. Shaun, the host, was very helpful and friendly.
This hidden gem is the perfect place to stay for a fantastic getaway. Cons: Didn't dislike anything about the property.
